My Background

After going to art school for graphic arts, my first real job was a window dresser.

Then in 1987 I started my own business...

-Owner/Operator of my own knitwear company. Designed and wrote patterns for hundreds of wearable knits. Participated in New York shows during market week. Solicited, negotiated and managed 60+ store/clients. Managed dozens of contract knitters in sampling and production.

-Implemented a knitting division for an established clothing company.

-Taught hand and machine knitting, pattern writing and knit design at Virginia Commonwealth University in the Fashion Design Department.

-Designs published in Interweave Knits Magazine and Weekend Knitting and Handknit Holidays.
